Pro Bowl ASL Anthenum (via NAD)

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is pleased to announce that Liz Tannebaum will perform the National Anthem in American Sign Language (ASL) during the pregame portion of the 2022 Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 6, 2022. Liz is a talented actress and producer; her movies have included ‘What Women Want,’ ‘No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie,’ and ‘What?’ She has starred in various theatrical productions including ‘Staring Back,’ which won a Chicago Emmy Award. Liz is also one of the four stars of the ‘Sound Off Ladies’ video podcast program. Liz’s performance will be in-stadium only and will be viewed by fans inside.

Sorenson Communications, Amazon and Microsoft Team Up to Support ASL Interpreter Skill Development

Sorenson Communications announced today a pilot with Amazon and Microsoft to support the development of American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters. The initiative, called the Corporate Consortium Paid Partnership, is a collaboration to provide paid practicum and mentoring experience to current students and new graduates of ASL interpretation programs.
