Pickleball is a sport that has been growing in popularity in recent years. It has even become more mainstream in these parts of the Delmarva Peninsula, for young and old alike.
With that rise in interest, the Delaware Deaf Senior Citizens (DDSC) organization will be hosting a Pickleball at the Beach Tournament in Ocean Pines, Md., on Sept. 14-15, at the Ocean Pines Racquet Center. Players and sponsors are now being sought for the event, which will benefit the DDSC.
The DDSC was established in 2015 to help support the growing deaf population in the southern area of Delaware. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so all financial contributions are tax-deductible. The group advocates for its members with regards to fitness, aging, healthcare, and communication accessibility.
