Direct Care Professionals will:

  • Provide quality care to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Transport individuals to appointments and activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation using an online system
  • Assist with activities of daily living such as cooking meals, laundry, cleaning, and personal hygiene
  • Administer medications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or HS equivalent
  • 18 years or older,
  • Valid driver’s license. All candidates must have
  • Clear background checks and
  • Able to pass a drug test

Join the Hearing Loss AssocIation of Delaware for this STATEWIDE Learning Group Lecture titled,” What’s the Hearing Loss and Dementia Connection?” It will be an IN PERSON AND ZOOM LECTURE from 10:15am to-11am on November 11, 2021 AT the Newark Senior CeNter, 200 Whitechapel Dr, Newark, DE 19713. The Speaker will be Linda Heller, President of the Hearing Loss Association of Delaware, also an audiologist. Hearing is really all about the brain, so Ms. Heller will discuss dementia as a Comorbidity of hearing loss and its impact on the quality of life of people with denentia and how you can slow the onset or progression of dementia. I, Denis Munn, have been selected as the chairperson of the nominating committee for Delaware Association of the Deaf.

Joey DeLusant and Dennise Scott are also on the nominating committee.
