Important Notice – Bylaws Suspension

Requesting our current Delaware Association of the Deaf Bylaws to be suspended due to covid and low recent turn out.  The reason for this is to resolve our election obligations and Bylaws will be restored once elections end.  This also applies to a motion made in June to have an in person election which we tried to do on September 9, 2021 but only 2 outside people (non-board members) came.  The deadline to object is Tuesday, September 28, 2021.  Contact delawaredeaf at gmail com or use the contact us link (at top of page in menu). 

Once we resolve this emergency issue, we will schedule a zoom meeting for our election instead.

DAD Biannual meeting and elections details finalized!

Date: September 9, 2021, 11p-4p

Where: American Legion Pavilion, 113 American Legion Rd, Lewes, DE 19958

What: Biannual meeting and elections for new officers.  Any bylaw changes will be discussed then also provided we get changes NOW as bylaws state we must send out changes before the meeting.  Activities will be provided and we encourage you to bring things to do too (i.e. bean bag toss). 

Confirmed: food and drinks distributed  (Feel free to bring appetizers or something.  We plan on Capsulla’s subs and water.)

 

Covid notice: Please follow CDC or state Covid guidelines during the meeting.  We will be meeting outside as meeting inside is not possible due to covid restrictions.  That means masks if social distancing is not possible to respect everyone’s health.  Covid vaccinations are strongly recommended to reduce complications.
