In April 2025, I’m aiming to run the prestigious Boston Marathon. This isn’t just any marathon for me—it’s the final stop on my quest to earn the coveted six-star medal from the Abbott World Marathon Majors. Yep, I’ve been running my sneakers off in Berlin, London, Chicago, New York City, and Tokyo, and now Boston is calling my name! As a bonus—although not verified yet, I may be the first-ever Deaf female to receive the medal—how amazing is that?!
But this isn’t just about my personal goal (though I’ll admit, that medal would look pretty sweet on my wall). I’m running to support AKTIV Against Cancer, a cause that resonates deeply with me. AKTIV Against Cancer funds research and programs that leverage physical activity to prevent and manage cancer, supporting patients and survivors in leading healthier lives.
