The purpose of the study is to investigate the research question of How are d/Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals treated within the courtroom? I want to explore the experiences d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals may have, including court involvement and accommodations. If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to do the following things: answering the prompted question through the 5-minute survey regarding possibly including your deaf or hard-of-hearing medical diagnosis, involvement in the Deaf community, court involvement, and reasonable accommodations. This one time study will also allow for the possible participation in a deeper online interview, identifying in depth-responses regarding your experience within court.
