Matt “The Hammer” Hamill is coming to Delaware Jiu-Jitsu for a 2 hour MMA / BJJ seminar. This seminar is for all skill levels. Beginner up to Black Belts.
Growing up, Hamill showed an early interest in wrestling, a sport that would lay the foundation for his future in mixed martial arts (MMA). He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where he pursued wrestling with fervor. At RIT, he became a three-time Division III National Champion in wrestling, demonstrating not only his physical prowess but also his unyielding determination.
Hamill’s big break came when he joined the third season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” On the show, he was first pic for Tito Ortiz’s team.
In the UFC, Hamill’s career flourished. He became known for his powerful wrestling techniques and his ability to adapt to the striking and grappling elements of MMA. One of his most notable fights was in UFC 121 against his former TUF coach Tito Ortiz where he won by unanimous decision.
During this 2 hour seminar Matt will be teaching striking, tying up, takedowns, how to control your opponent on the ground and submissions.
